Ava was so well behaved and didn't seem at all bothered about having so many people around. Graham and I feel bad that we didn't get to spend much time with her because we were so busy but she seemed happy to be passed around for the day.I was getting frustrated at the beginning when everyone showed up because they all kept crowding around in the kitchen and I wanted them out in the yard. It was difficult to get in and out of there because so many people were standing in the doorway. Once the food was ready they all found places to sit though and it was okay.
When it was time for the cake we set up the webcam so my parents could join in the singing of Happy Birthday and watch Ava have some cake. We wanted her to blow out the candle so we practiced a couple of times a few days before and although it took a few minutes, in the end she blew it out!
Some of her baby friends playing in the pool
Lots of people in our teeny tiny backyard
Time to open presents!
A counting book from Uncle Steve
Ava liked the pretty ribbons from Grandma & Grandpa Bowman's gift
A pretty little sunhat from Grandma & Grandpa Bowman
Winnie the Pooh dish set from Aunt Laura & Uncle Robin
