Canada

I'm back in Canada right now for my cousins wedding last weekend. It's been nice to see everyone again but I'm friggen exhausted! I can't believe how tired I've been this month. Who knew making a kid was such hard work?

I've had so many days where I'll be standing in my bedroom brushing my hair or getting dressed and all of a sudden I'm hit with this incredible wave of fatigue that's so bad, I actually can't even get myself into bed.

My morning sickness hasn't been too bad, I haven't thrown up yet but I get nauseous from time to time and I seriously cannot stand the smell of garlic! If anyone is cooking it or has even eaten it I can't go anywhere near them. Other spices set me off too but garlic is by far the worst. I can't eat anything with flavour in it... I feel like I've been living off of bagels and cheese.

I decided to tell my parents the news while I was over here because I figured it was better to do in person rather than over the phone or by e-mail. Even though I only just found out a couple of weeks ago and I'm not really ready to tell anyone, I thought it would be a good idea to tell them. It was absolutely, without a doubt, 100% the scariest moment of my life. I managed to get mom and dad into the kitchen together and to sit down at the table with me so I could tell them together. It took me a long time to actually work up the nerve to say anything at all. My heart was pounding so hard I thought for sure they could hear it over the tv, and my mouth felt like it was filled with cotton (I'd heard of that but never actually experienced it before.)

Finally it was out and they knew and everything was okay :) I'm not entirely sure how dad feels about it but mom seems pretty happy. I know they're not thrilled that I'm living all the way over in England but I can't leave Graham for 3 months just to be in Canada when the baby is born. Maybe mom and dad will come and visit us around the time that it's due. I'd really like for them to come over here for a while.

Anyway I've got a busy weekend ahead of me now, a joint party for Jenny and I (she's moving away to Australia, and it's my birthday in a few days) and I'm meeting up with some old highschool friends for a joint birthday party for 3 of us.

Should be fun...if I can find some energy from somewhere.
