Long time no see!

Oops... really haven't been here in a while!

I'll be 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I'm feeling huuuge! It's been a pretty easy pregnancy so far thankfully, but I am starting to look forward to the end of it. I've become very uncomfortable recently with back aches whenever I sit or stand and even laying down isn't great anymore so I'm not sleeping well either.

I don't want to complain about it though because I know I'm lucky to have my baby growing away inside me and I know the discomfort is just because he's doing what he should - getting bigger!

Oh yes, and we found out in May that he's a boy!

Ava wasn't to happy when we told her because she had decided she wanted a little sister, however she has since come around to the idea and loves her baby brother already. (She think's she's like Peppa Pig with her little brother George.)

She thinks we should name him Thomas. Then again, she also thinks we should have named the slug she found in the garden yesterday Thomas as well...

I've been struggling a little bit with sacroiliac joint dysfunction pain in my lower back, mostly on the left. It seems to flare up and then settle down, then flare up again. This week it has been pretty bad and I end up limping around everywhere. I should just sit and relax but I have so much to do and I can't stop myself from cleaning all the time.

Ava turned 3 years old a few weeks ago and we celebrated while we were on a family holiday in France. It was a really nice trip, we went with Laura, Robin, Ellie and Jenni, and then Steve joined us a few days later. We took a ferry across the channel and arrived in the morning on Ava's birthday. Once we disembarked from the ferry, it took us about 3 hours of driving to arrive at the house (it belongs to Robin's mum and dad.) Once we got there Ava was very grumpy and didn't want to get out of the car. I checked her temperature and realised she had a fever so I found some children's ibuprofen for her. No sooner had she swallowed it, than it shot straight back out - along with her breakfast - all over her shirt, teddy bear, car seat, the car, and the driveway! It was horrible, I've never seen her throw up like that... thankfully Graham cleaned up the mess while I rushed her into the house for a bath. We gave her some more ibuprofen and she was bright and cheerful again in no time (that stuff is MAGIC!)

Unfortunately she had a fever on and off for the first two or three days but eventually she was back to her normal self again.

Here are a couple of shots from our time in France.

Anyway I'll try and update here more often if I can. It's just difficult to sit down at the computer for long periods of time because of the back pain.
